Mumbai, May 9: The much-awaited Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 was officially launched today in the country. Prices for the new-generation Swift begin at Rs. 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Alongside the price announcement, the automaker also announced that the fourth-generation Swift has garnered over 10,000 bookings in just 8 days. Maruti Suzuki offers the new-gen Swift hatchback in five variants across three main trims – LXi, VXi and ZXI. Variant list includes LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi and ZXi+. The base LXi variant costs Rs. 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-of-the-line ZXi+ variant carries a price tag of Rs. 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 is powered by a new 1.2-litre Z-series petrol mill. The unit is tuned to produce 82 bhp at 5,700 rpm and 112 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm while mated to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.

Visually, the Maruti Suzuki Swift has been extensively updated yet carries some design traits from the outgoing model. The car features a low-slung grille flanked by large sweptback headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs, a clamshell bonnet, alloy wheels, and clear-lens LED tail lamps.
Feature-wise, the new Swift packs an extensive list that includes a 3-spoke steering wheel, a dual-dial instrument cluster, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, electric ORVMs, a wireless charger and more. For safety, the car gets standard features like 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC and Hill Start Assist.
