This time, there is also a unique coincidence as there are five Mondays in the month of Shravan. As per the Hindu calendar, the month of Shravan will start on July 22, in the auspicious Preeti and Sarvartha Siddhi Yog. The starting day of the month is Monday is believed to be a holy day to worship Lord Shiva. Interestingly, the month also ends on a Monday.
It is worth mentioning that there are several other auspicious yoga on this month. The last day of Sawan, August 19, coincides with the Shukla Paksha Purnima. It is also one of the most auspicious days to perform various rituals. On the same day, Rakhsha Bandhan will be celebrated. As per reports, there are four auspicious days in the Sharavan month to hold Mangala Gauri Puja. On this day, Goddess Parvathi is worshipped.

It is believed that observing the Sawan Monday fast pleases Lord Shiva which helps to overcome sadness and grief in life.

Apart from Sawan Mondays, Mangala Gauri Puja is set to be observed on the dates mentioned: July 23, July 30, August 6 and August 13. During this puja, Goddess Parvathi is worshipped and special rituals are performed.
